This is a picture I took at my parents ranch.

This photo kinda happpened by accident. I was taking a picture of this window and accidentally put my finger over the flash, giving it a reddish glow. You can even see my finger in the reflection.

Yep, it's gummy worms :)

This is a closeup of one of the peacocks on my parents ranch. It took me forever to get this shot because it kept running from me!

This is another picture of my ceiling fan but I took the picture from the side. I like how it completely changes the shape of the light.

This is a picture of my ceiling fan on high directly underneath it.. Its going so fast that you can see a green and red ring around the light.

Everytime it rains this becomes a waterfall and erodes the limestome more and more exposing sea shells embedded in the rock. If you look hard you can see some in one of the rocks to the top left.

This is a rock pool created after the flood this weenend at my parents farm. I like how you can see the reflection of the rock banks in the perfectly clear water. It was the overflow from the pond that unearthed all of this limestone.

This is a closeup of some nasty thorns coming out of a tree on my 4wheeler trail. I hope I never run into this tree..

this is a picture of a pond with the trees reflecting but it is upside down. The actual trees are at the bottom of the picture and the edge of the pond is at the top.

This is a part of a fence that has its paint peeling off. I really like the different colors that you see here as well as the 3-D of the peeling paint.

I was really bored sitting in construction the other day so I took this picture of my side mirror. I like the way that you can see the cars that already passed me and then also see the one that is passing me at the moment.

This is a tree swing that is in our wood lot back home. I thought that it was neat how you can see the individual parts of the rope as well as the grain of the wood that makes up the seat.

I took this picture of an experiment that my sister was doing. It was really hard trying to get the hot plastic as it was falling while burning.

Week 14 Observation

This is a photo of a trashcan at our river walk park in Council Grove. I like the color and patern of this photo and the way that it draws your eye around.

This is another photo taken while we were burning pastures. I like how the reflection of the fire is shown in the pond.

We burned pastures tonight. I liked the way the fire was "climbing" up the fence post. I also liked that the cattle were in the background alert, watchful, and curious.

These are my photos inspired by The Diving Bell and The Butterfly. One is of a close-up view of a dandelion from below, another is of trees from a skylight, and the other is of a blue jar in front of a blocked-glass window. The different views and transparencies make these more abstract than the pictures i would normally take.

Week 13 Observation

This is a picture that I took of our fish pond at home. I like the colors, shadowing, as well as the way the branches flow through the picture.

I took this picute of the El Dorado Refinery while walking to my car after one of my evening classes. It always amazes me how pretty the refinery is at night with all the lights on.

The first picture is of some flowers in my front yard taken through an oversized martini glass. The second picture is of one of my engagement pictures through my bridal viel. The bottom picture is the center piece on my table with the candles lit through pink fabric.

Week 12 Observation

I found this imprint of a skid-steer's track in our yard after the rain this weekend. I like the progression from mud to dead grass to new grass, and the yellow flower that missed being crushed in the bottom left corner.

I found our hog feeder tipped over from a storm this weekend and I thought it would be neat to take a picture of it. I really like the composition of the entire picture

Every morning when Im getting ready for class I hear birds fluttering around on my ac unit in my room. It took a few days of trying but I finally got a picture of them before they flew away.

Week 10 Observation

I took this photo at the riverwalk in Council Grove. I like the way the reflection is wavy, and uncertain. It reminds me of my brother's veiw of America. "We may have uncertain times, but we will always survive." You can still see the flag, even with the rough water.

This is a close up of a brick in my flower garden. This picture also reminds me of a Jackson Pollock painting.

Week 8 Observation

This is a waterfall that is in my hometown. I liked the way that it foamed at the base, kinda like a bubble bath.

This was taken at Garvin Park in Augusta. I thought it was a cool old stairway with the bushes overgrown and taking over the rails.

Week 9 Observation

This is my Jackson Pollock post. This is a picture of the bark of an old oak tree. I thought that it looked like one of his paintings.

I took this picture during a really bad rainstorm. It is the intersection of highway 77 and highway 50. I like how you can see the reflection of the lights on the road. I also turned the pic upside down to make it harder to realize what this picture really was.

I took this picture right before it started to rain. I like how the sun is trying to still shine through the clouds.

This is a picture of the hideous wood paneling in my bedroom. I think that the pattern looks look a spider and it kind of freaks me out when I'm laying in bed! I think the pattern is ironic because when we first moved in the rental house had a SERIOUS spider problem, and now that paneling is there to remind me.....(creepy!)

This is my Jackson Pollock picture. It is the ceiling at the house I rent. It's just very random dots and "squiggly" lines.

This is a the top of the curtains in my dads hospital room. I thought they were really weird looking and a strange pattern for curtains.

I took this picture after the ice storm a couple years ago.

This is a rake in my backyard. It just leans against the garage, I just thought it was kind of ironic having a rake surrounded by a bunch of leaves.

week 7 observation

I took a picture of a flower in my room, and then enhanced it on my computer to look like a watercolor painting. I think that it is neat how the center of the flower is unchanged from the original picture while the rest of the flower is unique.

This is a close up of the space heater at my house. All the circles remind me of the project we did with all the lines. Trying to draw this on paper would be crazy.
